Week of 6/27 Police Log

At 11:44 a.m, multiple 911 callers reported a woman down in front of Shawsheen Plaza. Three officers responded and found the woman was just waiting for the bus.

At 6:54 a.m, Raytheon security called for assistance with a deer that had its head stuck in a fence.

Sunday, Aug. 9 - At 2:28 a.m., a resident reported a prowler outside her home. The resident later called back reporting it was actually her son, and apologized.

Monday, Aug. 24 - At 5:05 p.m., a resident called 911 after hearing suspicious noises outside his home. A responding officer found the sound may have been the homeowner's sprinklers turning on.

Saturday, Dec. 8 | At 10:25 p.m., suspicious activity was reported on Chestnut Street when between four and five teenagers wearing hoods were ringing doorbells and running away. An officer reported it was a group of carolers from Phillips Academy.

Friday, July 31 - At 9:34 a.m., a resident called police because an 8-year-old boy was using a lawnmower by himself in the neighborhood, with no adults around watching him. A responding officer spoke to the parents.

Some Old Ones I Dug Up

Monday, June 11 | At 5:28 p.m., an employee of the Rugged Bear reported a woman and her daughter had been shoplifting. They left the store in a maroon Mercedes.

Sunday, Nov. 18 | At 1:10 p.m., a Haverhill Street resident reported there was a tent in the woods by the vacant lot next to his house. An officer reported that a dirty sleeping bag, beverage that expired two months ago and a Burger King application were in the tent.

Week of 6/20 Police Log

Wednesday, June 23 - At 2:53 p.m., a Juniper Road resident called police after a man knocked on her door. A responding office found the man to be Paul Adams, who is running for state representative and knocking on doors to introduce himself to people in the neighborhood.

At 11:18 p.m., a delivery driver reported being assaulted, with a male allegedly throwing a baseball bat at him as he was trying to make a delivery on Brookside Drive. At 12:24 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, Joel Valentin, 19, of 650B Brookside Drive was arrested with assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
